I just stopped and looked at a 484 with a loader. Paint is fairly new and sheet metal is in good shape. Decent rubber. I noticed a small amount of oiol on the engine, but it doesn't look like much to worry about. What is the HP rating on this tractor? Anybody know what this tractor is worth? Thanks!

I sold an industrial IH 484 diesel last year for $3800. No loader. New rear tires, front worn nearly out. Started and ran great, around 5000hrs. looked like crap though.

If I remember right the HP for the 484's is in the mid to high 30's. Of course, someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

They're a handy little tractor, we've had one for years and use it all the time.

Local dealer had a 484 with a 2xxx loader on it. That tractor was rode hard, put away wet. Needed back tires, not a straight body panel on it. Fenders were rusted out, leaks everywhere. The front rims were loose on the hubs and the bolt holes were egged out. All the control knobs were missing, the seat was shot, and I doubt the tractor had seen a grease gun in a decade or more. The front spindles had worn the bushings out and there was a 1/4" gap between the spindles and housing, and the tie rod ends were shot. All for only $7200. Still sitting on the lot.

Thanks for the info. I stopped back by the guys place and spoke to him. He told me it was 48 HP. I didn't think he was right on the HP because this is a big tractor. Maybe it has the wrong decals on it. He also said that the engine was recently rebuilt. The tractor is in really great shape, but unfortunately, the new owner is picking it up tomorrow. It went for $7000. Thanks again for you help. Dustin
