Couple of questions. I am about to lay out a lot of money for a Worksaver 3pt conversion, I called the number on this website and also JD Woodhouse (the distributor) and was surprised when the guys at the other end couldn't tell me whether this would work or not for a bushhog on the SUPER A. All they could tell me was the price. I need to know if anyone out there has this set-up on their Super A and can tell me if it works ok for them. I don't want to waste a lot of money. Is the worksaver made to compensate for the PTO offset??

Also, Are the parts you can order on this website under "tractor parts" competively priced and good quality?? Thanks to all

The Super A with the 3 point will lift only about 500 lbs, maybe a little more. A four ft bush hog is about all you would want on the Super A. You will also need an over running clutch for the PTO. Will the set up work with the bush hog?? Good chance of a conflict with the PTO shaft and the lift parts of the 3 point hitch, or the frame parts of the bush hog. I had a Work Saver 3 point on a 140 years ago. Lift range and capacity are limited. I used it with a carry all, a small disk, a pond scoop, a blade, etc. The only PTO powered thing I used was a hole auger. That worked fine after I adjusted the center link of the hole digger to shorten it so I could lift it high enough. I also modified the top link connection on the tractor making one of my own design, as the one provided by Work Saver bolts to the rear rockshaft and was not very satisfactory in my opinion.

Thanks for the input. I guess my issue is that I am not concerned about lifting it so much as I just want to be able to drag it around and mow the fields. Should I be concerned with lifting it?? Did you have success using the 3pt with a bushhog??

Thanks

Never tried to use a Bush Hog with the Super A/140. Only PTO item I ever used was a hole auger. That worked fine. But it did require some adjustments to the auger hitch to get it to lift high enough.
