Hey all! I need to get a new intake/exhaust manifold for the 300U engine I am putting in my '51 H. Are they the same manifold on the H, Super H, 300 and 350? According to the A&I and Westward books they are. Just want to make sure before I order one Are they as good as the original or should I find one from a junk yard? Thanks for any help.

Cheers!

Sid

A manifold from an H will fit the engine, but will not accept the larger carburetor on the 300. The super H manifold will work, but I believe the manifolds for the 300 and 350 are even better, ports and runners are larger, and have a little bit better design resulting in better fuel flow=more power. I would do my best to locate an original rather than a reproduction. I've been told that the repros are not as good.

I believe the vertical manifold is the same, however no one repros the manifold for the underslung exhaust.

Hey All! Just to make things clear, I'm putting a 300 utility engine into a '51 H. I have everything but the manifold. Been looing through suppliers and they all say in the books that the manifold they sell fits H-350. Just want to make sure I order the right one as I see that the H carb is much smaller than the one that was one the 300U engine.
