Front seal - 49 C

(Well, maybe not quite that fragile, but I'm sure you get the point.)

A heavy-duty bearing splitter and a puller on it is the tool recommended here for getting it off. I have taken two heavy (3/4 inch thick) flat iron that are narrow enough to fit between the pulley and the front of the engine and heated them up and bent them into an arc. I then “clamp” them behind the pulley and attach a puller to them to pull the pulley off. A little gentle warmth from a “flame wrench” doesn’t hurt either.

For getting it on (the pulley that is), it has been recommended that you send the wife to town shopping and then put the pulley in the oven at 400 degrees for 30 minutes and it will slip right on… I usually just throw them on top of a well stoked wood stove in my shop. It’s cheaper then sending my wife to town shopping… :>)
