Hi guys,

I had the Case IH guys look up your number - (case-ih # 373662r91) - and it looks like the bulb for the teardrop style lights (not the center post terminal for the flat style)

I posted a picture - anyone know where to find this bulb reasonably?

Eric

$36.50 from OEM Tractor Parts, probably about the same price from several other suppliers -- just part the price of fixing old tractors.

The one you have pictured looks like the flat style. It has been long since discontinued by the original suppliers. It is not available as a reproduction from several of the sources mentioned. It is not cheap.

If you just want working lights, modern replacements lamp units with sealed beams can be found from numerous sources for less than the price of a repro sealed bean unit.

This type has a bulb, similar to an 1133 sealed inside it. Before the repros were available, I cut one open and soldered a new 1133 nside it. I also had to solder a small nut on the center tip of the bulb to attach the wire. The difference shows if you look closely at the back of the unit. I never got around to using it and it is on the shelf. The repros made the exercise a mute point anyway.

So, your main choices are change to a different lamp assembly or pay the price for a repro unit.

hello, the single pin bulbs that fit into the old style guide teardrop lights on the tractors are still available. i get them through grainger. the GE numbers are 1129 and 1133 for 6V. one is a higher candlepower and 1195 is the number for the 12 volt. these numbers are direct replacement for these lights. greg

Halogen Bulbs? in reply to Eric NW Iowa, 05-12-2005 22:57:16
So have you guys heard about halogen bulbs that fit in Farmall 140s. I talked to a guy that said he had put halogen bulbs in a Cub (in the original light sockets) . I would love to put a set of halogens in my Farmall 100 as it would greatly improve safety at night. Ramon

Hello,I own a motorcycle repair shop and i think the front driving/fog lights on Harley Davidson motorcycles will fit alot of tractors. I am going to try it on my farmall 140.
