I filleted my finger wide open. slipped in the mud and tried to catch myself on the door and all I found was the tin siding..The doc said it went down to the bone and then cleaned it off the bone about 1/4 "..I did not feel or notice anything until the blood tricled down my arm. Then I saw a blood soaked leather glove with a hole in it. ( Lucky ) just will not do it.

Took my neighbor this morning to get his thumb sewed up. 6 stitches. He was changing the twine cutter (it's a utility knife blade) on his round baler getting ready to bale. His hand slipped while trying to tighten the little hold down bolts. Quite a cut. After we got back, I helped him finish the knife changing job. Took about 2 minutes with two people doing it. He was trying to do the job alone and you need a third hand. I had just asked him about 30 minutes before this happened if he needed any help and he refused.

Ouch is right! Reminds me of a couple years ago when my makita power jig saw decided to "hop" out of the vent hole I was cutting and "skipped" across my left hand. Nearly took off the middle finger but all is perfect today.
Keep it clean and avoid bumping it!

Ouch!!! Hope you're right handed! Keep it clean and dressed and you'll heal up fine. Be glad they didn't present you with a bulbous bandage up to your elbow.

cut most of the nerve endings and a little piece of bone on the nuckle. It is throbbing pretty good today and if it keeps doing that I am supposed to go back in and spend money like you did..the only thing that hurt a little was the needle to numb it..I can tap on the section of meat and I dont feel it yet...
