Will 15.5 x 38 tires fit on the 12 x 38 rims?

Tweeter: This is one of those every second day questions. Every rear farm tractor tire manufactured in the past 40 is stamped with the ideal rim size. That is ideal size for traction on a farm field situation. That is also ideal size for life of tire.

They will fit, but kind of like trying to put on a pair of too small shoes. In other words a real pain, and they won't stay on long...

I put 15.5 38s on my M with a loader, but I put on 560 wheels and 14" rims when I did it. I've never been sorry.

My Dad bought new 15-5 x 38 tires one to replace 13-6 x 38 tires. He had 13" rims and completely tore up a brand new set of tires in one afternoon while plowing. They looked like a mouse had chewed them up. 15-5 x 38 tires require a 14" rim. They are a low profile tire and will last a long time if mounted properly.

Yes but they wont look good as the 15s need a wider rim. All depends on what you are doing with them pulling, farming or just riding in a parade.
