Tractor was working fine when shutdown. The next day the remotes work O.K. but the lift arms do not work at all. I checked the inspection covers for disconnected linkage but it appears O.K.The cover in front of the seat has what appears to be a spring loaded bleeding valve that I continue to get air out of. I need some Ideas on this one Thanks

Hello, Are the arms stuck in the up postion? I had this happen on my 1466. The arms stuck up and would not come down. Had to take the top link holder of which opens up to the main rear housing. There was a spring loaded piece there that had come of its holder, had over extened.Seems like it happened when I lowered the arms. This happened several times until I welded a bolt on the spring loaded piece to keep it from over extending and it works fine now. Kind of a hard thing to describe and probably only is relevent if the arms are stuck in the up position. Good luck

forgetit Not sure what you are refering to but the 1466 does not have a bleed valve on the hitch. If you have the 2 x 3" plate off below the seat that adjustment is for the hitch, it is on the hitch valve. The first thingI would do would be to run the engine and pull one remote lever with the hitch lever clear up if the hitch comes up the load valve which is a big plug right by the 2 x 3" plate could be bad, screw it out and check the o ring on the piston and check the ball and seat valve. If the load valve fails the hitch can not buidl pressure to lift.

Aces,No the lift doesn't move when you move the remote lever.I used the tractor today using the remote. The clutch and P.T.O. seems to be working O.K. Thanks for the suggestion

Hey Ace i was just thinking does his PTO still work???? I had a customer that was plowen all day and everything was working fine till the next morning and the PTO drive and the pressure plate just plum died over nite nothing wrong with the hdy. after spliting and installen a new clutch pressure plate and PTO input shaft all was well. It to was a 1466 and they used that tractor for grinding feed twice a week running the chopper hauling the manur and the spline were gone.

The Tractor Vet HI he did say that the Remotes work OK so I would think the drive would be OK.
