I have a 186 hydro and no matter where I move the lever for forward or reverse it still goes forward. Iwould like to know if this might be in the trans. or in one of the valves. Thank you for any info. Would like to thank the tractor vet for the info on the 706. David

I had that problem with mine once. It is not really serious but you have to go inside the transmission. No split is necessary. It is long enough ago that I hesitate to add further info without fear of misdirecting you. If you still have a good IH hydro mechanic around he will be able to diagnos it for you. If you can't find better help phone me 306 295 4122.

sounds more like the linkage might be unhooked somewhere?
