I even saw one like mine in a pic in england

As a rule of thumb--pre 1945, McCormick Deering, 1945-1949, IH McCormick Deering, 1949-up IH McCormick. Thus, if the front nameplate says McCormick Deering, whether or not the side decal has IH depends on when it was made, if it says McCormick, then the decal has IH. ASSUMING that the W6 changed when the M and the rest of the letter series did.

Check your serial number for the year model of your tractor. Does the metal nameplate on the front of the radiator grille say McCormick or McCormick Deering. If your nameplate is original, decals will match front nameplate. If you are in England, the decals will be different from the USA versions.

There was a decal change about 1945. The newer ones have the IH logo, Earlier ones say McCormick Deering
