I hear that Hydra Touch control levers (300/330/350Us.....)are on B/O from CNH.There must be a huge demand for the things (I cant imagine why....lol),or else CNH isnt currently having any made and they're letting the orders pile up first....

Paul, My best guess is that you are correct on the B.O. reality. Our 350U gas has had several lever changes. The insert on the splined shaft would break loose from the aluminum and slip. I think it is because of the angle (or offset of the knob to the right of the centerline of the shaft). Our fix was to drill three 3/16 holes (in a good drillpress with a stub drill) in three places around the insert, half in the aluminum, half in the steel. then we put tight fitting roll pins in the holes and grind them flat to the sides. Just remembering what we did. LOL on a new set.

Following a tip I read on this page two weeks ago, I replaced my lever with a craftsman 11 mm box end wrench. It cost $8.50; I got the long handled one with a 10 mm on the other end. All I did was tap it on with a plastic mallet it was a very tight fit. I haven'tried it yet but I tink it will work for many years, It was a very cheap fix, I thought. I very much appreciate the person who supplied this information - thank you.
