If you can not find someone to repair that cracked head, give Midwest Cylinder Head Co in IA a call at 1-800-873-8506 or email them at midwestcylinderhead@aol.com Hal

Yep they do that when ya get them hot ans shut them down with out a cool down or stall them in the field and find that you forgot to fill the littel gas tank and ya can get it started . Pull it off and send it out and have it pluged and filled with water glass or as they call it cold welding and it will be fine. All ways let it cool down for atleast 10-15 min. at a littel over and idealand when the temp gauge says cold then shut it down on diesel and don't switch back on gas and let it run on the gas sode as it will start to warm back up , We did it this way on the old I H dozers ans also on my S/MD and my 450 D and my buddys 450D but we did crak the head on his MD when his brother stalled it in the field and could not get it restarted because it was out of gas and it cracke and when we did get it started it started throwen water out. pulled the head sent it out and 5 days later it was back up and running and that was back in 69 and it is still running.
