We just got a 1086 tractor today, and the digital tach is not working nor is the fuel gauge not working, since this is our first tractor of this type we dont know where to start or where to look to track down this problem, any help would suffice, all the lights work,a/c works, and so does the radio and the windshield wiper, noticed that the horn doesnt work though nor does the turn signals, but no need for those, anyways any help would help, thanks

The fuel guage is easy to check, just ground out the sending unit on the fuel tank and see if the guage moves, if it does that means the guage is fine, and one of the sending units is bad. The turn signal problem is the flasher unit itself, its pretty easy to replace, and if your on the road with this tractor you should have the flasher lights on and working. The tach is tricky, as long as theres power and a ground, and nothing comes on in the display then the unit has to be sent in for repair.

sounds like a fuse for the dash is burned out or the hot wire to the instruments has come off
