Ok i may not know all i need to about these things but I have a 53 factory lp gas super m it has a 264 motor but has a dip stick Is this motor correct i thought thay did not come out till the 450,s not sure it is a e code motor can some one help my dads 400 does not have one

E code is 1959 so you can assume it was replaced.

My M has a screw-in dipstick in the oil pan where the top petcock was located. I believe that this was an after-market option, but I do not know any details beyond that other than it is definitely quicker and handier than the petcock set up.

this is in the block not the pan even has aplace for a fule pump like a w9 had it has a plate over it if its a 59 would it be a 450 or maybe a power unit motor i have been pulling it some and she never runs out at 5500 to 6500 just spins out

captaink, that dipstick is an aftermarket item. It was manufactured by the Heiken co. Atlantic,Iowa. I have one just like it that I removed from my M for safe keeping.
