Hi, Just bought a IH 330 utility with loader, power steering,no pto or drawbar because of counterweight for loader. Just ordered operators manual for it but won't be here for a week. Wanted to know where to check and ad trans & ta fluid, and what fluid does it take. Also how hard is it to install a pto, i was told that one will work from a 300 -450. Trans likes to grind sometimes when shifting gears, have shut it off to shift. thanks ben

Your clutch/TA linkage isnt adjusted correctly, the pressure plate isnt releasing(screwed up lever/plate mechanism),pilot bearing is dragging,or you arent pushing the clutch pedal all the way down,or a combination of all the above.

..... ben, hi..... .i am not where my tractor is so i am going just by the operator's manual(someone may give better specifics)..... ...the fill plug is to the left of the shifter on top..... ..the level plug is further ahead on the left side of housing and the drain plug is just below the level plug on the bottom..... ..there is another drain plug that i cannot quite remember the location of (you may not need to w/o ipto)..... ...someone who has done this many times can give you better detail..... ...enjoy your 330..... ...best wishes, bill

..... .wrt the grinding shift, these are sure not syncromesh transmissions..... ..

I bought one of those I&T shop manuals from fleet farm and adjusted the clutch & ta, didn't seem to make a difference. Found the level check plugs, and level was below my finger and real dirty. So i'm going to drain & flush. Just need to know what goes back in there, those I&T manuals don't explain non of that stuff.

thanks for the info ben

Use Case/IH HY-Tran for T/A, trans and hydraulics.
