Here's what I have for a spreader, an old New Idea ground driven model. Not a large capacity, but it does the job for our 10 cows.

Hey, what model is that one? I have one just like it and was told it is IH, but all I can find are casting numbers. It is a pto drive and I need seals for the gear box, but don't know what to look for. Thanks. JR

this is model 213 ratcheting spool and it holds a whopping 180 bushel. there is 5 positions and if your beater is rounded off, just weld 1/2 inch rod on them and she works good. there are 3 identical pauls on the racheting spool so if your does not work in 2nd or 3rd, take one off the top of the spool and put in it in the engauging spot. just got done spreading 8 loads and it leaves a 12 to 14 ft spread.
