I have a W-6 Mc cormick,
does this have the wash type airfilter,
that you clean and put back in?
or does it have a replaceable filter, that you buy new when the old one gets clogged?

Unless someone changed it, it would have an oil bath air cleaner on it. Whenever you change the engine oil you'd take the cup off the bottom of the air cleaner and drain and clean it out. Make sure you get the gunk out of the bottom since it sets up like cement a bit and takes some cleaning. Refill with clean engine oil up to the line on the side of the cup that says "oil level"
Make sure there's no moisture left in the cup as they have a tendency to get rust pinholes in the bottom of the cup. From what I've always heard, oil bath air cleaners are better than the paper type, but not as easy to service, so that's why the industry changed.
