I have a Zenith that reads "Zenith Made in USA, B2" on the bottom and that is all I can find along with a brass tag that has 52499DB and 9752 on it also. Does anyone know what this means and what flavor Zenith carb I may have. I took this carb off of a 41 Farmall A.

Thanks,

MACE

The numbers on the brass tag is the manufactures (IH)numbers and the carb number. Are you gonna use it, rebuild it, or sell it? What condition is it in?

What exactly do you want to know about the carb?

It's a carb, it's a Zenith, it's for a Farmall A... You've got the numbers off it so parts should be easy to find... I can't think of anything else you NEED to know to make it work.

I am trying to find out ,per the numbers I have, what zenith carb it is so I can purchase a kit for it. Looking through this site at the farmall parts for zenith carbs, I couldn"t find any number that matches what I need. Am I missing something? Does anyone know of a good source for kits?

Thanks,

MACE

Get your kit from Case-IH. If you don't have a local dealer, call Carter and Gruenewald 866-327-6255, a CIH dealer in Wisconsin that is set up to do mail order. Your carb is the gas version of Zenith 161x7, also used on the early Super A. The IH number for a gasket set is 352 896 R91, for the complete overhaul kit 355 262 R91. If you need a main jet, 55 728 D, float (if available) 53783D. If you are restoring your A, your best investment is a parts manual. Operators, service and parts manuals are available from Binder Books 503-684-2024.

Thanks for the reply. This is the info I was looking for. I will have to get a parts manual as well. I'm sure it will come in handy.

Thanks,
