I went out this afternoon to work on my M. Ive got a rear tire off (flat again) and was gonna chase the threads on the bolts and nuts that hold the tire on the wheel. when i got out there what did i find curled up under Big Red?? none other than jake-da-snake. a 4 footer too. nasity looking.

After a short movement to contact and the resulting fire fight Big Red is safe again.

Big Red is here under a shade tree in the yard. Its that time of year again and jake is out. Just wanted to remind everyone to sharp eye out for Mr. No Shoulders.

Most snakes are our friends, they eat the mice/rats and even some of them kill/eat the snakes we don't want around.

What color was Jake,If he was black,he is harmless, and more scared of you than you were of him.He cant bite becaues he has no teeth.I always had a fobie of snakes so I made it a point to always pick them up.If your very gentle they very rarly will bite you,and if you pet them they will just lay in your arms.

I tell you what you can try holding a snake and have it lay in your arms but not mee. Let me know how you get along with your new pet.

A wise man once told me that if we were meant to pick up snakes, the good lord would have made them with handles. I concur with his opinion.
