Sodium Silicate. Or egg preserver works very well in cracked heads, blocks water leaks in engines. Ive had good luck with it. I ve used the Moroso chemical sealer, you have to pressurize the cooling system and force it through the system, and let it set up. Chad

I dont know what the name is just what the engine builder said. He has used it several times with flying colors. Had a head off a 113 engine with small crack on manifold side went into the edge of combustion chamber then out and he said it would be easy. I was selling tractor with new sif foot mower and didnt want any problems later. Will use that head some time in an engine i will keep.

A lot of it would be how bad the crack is and where guy in machine shop swears by it. A puller friend of mine used it with good results. There is also a liquid when poured in small crack that works good. Could always change heads if it doesent work.
