I am looking for the instrument cluster lens that is located on the underside of the steering column as pointed to in the picture. third party image
I tried the CaseIH place, and they said that part was discontinued. This may be a shot in the dark but does anyone know where I could get another one of these??
Sorry the image is so big!

Thanks!

I don"t get the picture to show either. Just a box w/ and X in it. What gives with that. Often I look at posts and no photos. Are they just kept here so long and then gone. Do you know if the light is same as 340. Late last fall I got some parts from old IH dealership and I believe I got 560 part for my 340.

Sorry, Guess I'm not posting the picture correctly.

Go over to Parts & Pieces over on the left and you'll find the picture there. I'm not sure if it is the same as the 340. I would be interested to know.

I may have to do like some suggested below and get creative!

Nope, lookin" at your second post w/picture, I can see the difference between 340 & 560. I must have been thinkin" about hydro shift handles that I got and are identified 560s. Good luck.

I tried to find a new one for my Farmall 460. I was told they were discontinued 17 months ago by Case-IH. The lens I have is discolored and cracked.

Mine has started to break apart up close to the screws. See the photo over in the Parts & Pieces.

Doc,

As I remember the 560, they had a translucent hard plastic lens affair which was up under the actual lite housing at the top of the dash. Seems to me it was like 2 inches long and an inch wide? The lite pointed down across the gauges.

Completely different from the round 400 lite and the later models which were back-lit.

Allan, I think you are on the right track. The photo is over in the Part & Pieces. I haven't mastered the photo posting yet.

Hey!

While I've got you on the phone, you wouldn't happen to have an air filter indicator gauge would you?

Thanks,

Allan

Did you try tapping the sensor lightly with a screwdriver handle? It sounds kinda dumb, and I didn"t think it would work, but it did for ours. Our dealer told us to try it. I guess the little check ball in there sticks in its seat and doesn"t want to move. Just don"t hit it too hard, or you really will need a new one:)

Hi Chadd,

I'm not 100% certain of course, but I think I need the gauge. :>)

Allan, I thought I saw that gauge in a different pic of your 966, right up along the top. Is this on a different tractor?

It looks like you have some pretty good size meats on the back. What are those, 18.4x34?
Pretty handsome outfit. I've spent some time on a friend's 656D gear drive. Nice tractor, but he's an Allis guy and he sold it. Those were always gnarly starting when cold, but at least it would start! Try to start an Allis 185 when it's below 50 degrees.

Yeah, I don't think any amount of hitting with a screwdriver would fix that. . . I must have been sleep-posting. I wish the gauges on that tilted plate were easier to see. Our 806 has an amperage gauge there and it is impossible to read. I like the gauge holder at the base of the dash on our 806 though. It houses a fuel oil pressure gauge and makes the gauge nice and easy to see.

have you thought about making one. Look through your wifes tupperware for something about the right curve and cut a piece out. When I was a kid I made tail light lenses out of red prestone antifreeze jugs. A poor man has poor ways.

Anyone here see a problem with this idea?

Let’s see…wife’s Tupperware has a hole in it. :>(

Wife is probably not too happy with hole that was made by knife in Tupperware. :<(

Knife is handy from cutting up wife’s Tupperware. =:>O

I don’t know about Cowman, but I’m running scared just thinking about what could happen next! LOL Course if you cut it out of a piece of Tupperware the wife has tossed out, then at least you won’t be!!!

Captin',

This is where the Cowman has it over on all the rest of us. :>(

Betcha he doesn't have someone constantly clamoring in his ear for a new sewing desk.....
