If someone was to convert their U34 Power Loader to dual acting lift cylinders, one would need cylinders approx 42" closed, with 3/4" pin holes, over 20" of travel, and a piston (shaft) diameter of 2-3/8".Anyone know of a cylinder that measures up? Seems there are none anymore that are 2-3/8" diameter piston bore.

Check out www DOT surpluscenter DOT com.

You sure it's a 20" stroke on a cylinder that long? 30" would be more believable.

Here's one that's close on the closed length:
Item# 9-1665-30

It doesn't have to be completely retracted, and probably shouldn't, when the loader bucket is on the ground. You want to be able to actually lower the bucket down BELOW the ground level so you can dig. Probably not a good idea to use/abuse that privilege considering the loader you have, and the fact that it wasn't meant for that kind of use, but it's a nice to have thing.
