I went to start my H today and it has a flat right rear tire. How am I going to fix it? I heard that some guys come to where the tractor is and fix it. If not, what am I going do? Any help is appreciated!
Thanks
Ed

Dont feel bad, i have a flat on my M right now (again). I jack up the rear and put a jack stand under the axle housing. that the rim off the wheel the break down the tire. i use two wrecking bars and a crow bar. to find the hole, i dunked the inflated tube in the horse water tank. Mark the leek. you can get a cold patch kit for less then $8.00 in most places

Howerver, in my case my valve steem is bad so its a new $35.00 tube. I fix it my self, the tire shop wants $30.00 do do it.

Time to open up the local yellow pages. SOMEONE in your area has got to have a mobile rig, and is willing to fix your tire. Just ask.

Does that tire have fluid in it? I think I would
pump it up as some have suggested and check the valve stem for leakage by applying some water. The stem may be the problem and if no leak is present then drive it to your local repair shop. Any tractor dealership would probably be able to repair that tube if it is repairable. Hal

How long did it sit since you ran it? I have a JD G that had a rear tire go flat once, jacked it up and reinflated it and it has been fine since, think it was just parked in the wrong spot on the tire or something. You may also be able to reinflate the tire and drive it to the tire store if it is a slow leak.

What made it go flat? Have you found the puncture? Perhaps your valve stem went, in which case, you might be able to fix it yourself. Jack up the side with the flat, reinflate and listen for the hiss. Haven't had to try it yet but I've heard filling a spray bottle with dish detergent and water, then spraying suspected areas (including the valve stem) and looking for bubbles is a good technique when the leak isn't obvious. Does the tire have a tube?

You local tire shop should be able to come out and fix it. Or jack it up and take it to them, but thats a heavy job. I would call the tire shop and have them come out, just tell them what size tire so they can bring a tube.

the way I do mine is air it up and put some blocks under the side and then let the air out enough too get the tire off and take her to a shop most of the time I have not needed jack.
