My 11 year old grandson, Michael, just bought his first tractor. It is a 1949 Farmall C.
We will be restoring it in my shop this summer so he can drive it in the parade at the Dalton, MN threshing show. (www.lrpta-dalton.com)
We are featuring IH this year so have an incentive to get it fixed up soon. My son Mark, (his dad) & I did the mechanical restoration on the 1945 Farmall A that is being raffled off Sept. 11, 2005 at the show. Let me know if you want tickets @ $1 each.
Michael"s C runs well enough but needs an overhaul, seals, etc. before painting. He lives in East Grand Forks, MN & I am 125 miles south in Fergus Falls, MN so now he has an excuse to come visit more often!! It sure is fun when the family can work together on a project.
