Sloroll and ElToro prety well covered it except one item common to a Super A. If original, your tractor doesn't have a solinoid. The starter switch on top of starter can become coroded. You have to remove the starter to take that switch off. It's just quite large brass terminals. There are two small plastic shields in there, look like overgrown guitar picks, don't loose them as they prevent internal workings of switch from striking switch body. Those switches only last 40 years plus. You can usually do a bit of cleaning on the switch terminals, it will work for awhile, but long term it may be done. I put a new one on my SA 10 years ago, 130 2 years ago and 140 has original.

The starter switch contacts that Hugh referred to can become eroded to the point that they won"t make contact. I built mine up with solder a few years back, and it"s still OK.

Do you mean the battery is fully charged? If it is, clean all those terminals and cables until nice and shiny and tight. Clean the area where
battery is grounded and the cable connection to the starter. Corrosion is good insulator.

If it still won't crank loosen the starter as Sloroll suggested to see if this was the problem. If you still have a no crank, check
for battery voltage at the starter and at the starter solenoid. Solenoid may be defective.
Try shorting across the solenoid with a screwdriver. Be careful doing this, make sure tractor is out of gear. Hal

Check all of your starter and battery connections. Try it. IF still nothing, loosen the starter and make sure it isn't in a bind.
