Any one guestimate the value of a 2 or 3 bottom 3pt plow 12" or 14", there are several different ones available. I'm going to an auction to purchase a plow (I don't want to sacrifice the arm and leg opposite the ones I had to give for gas already!!!!)A price range would be some help. I already have a disc and drag section. Now I just need something to do the serious digging.

Thanks

Butch

I picked one up a 2-12 little genius for $300 a couple and all I had to do was hook it to the tractor.

well out here in SD up till about two years ago you could get a plow like those for 5-10 bucks. lately they seem to bring anywhere from 100-500 bucks. too many yuppies with money wanting to turn dirt. ticks me off. can't afford anything any more but what the heck, i still try!

Boy, not here.

Plows are highern' a cat's back around here; same way down in Colorado so I'm told.

Must make a difference if in a particular region the farmers still plow or not, I guess. :>(

Boy, can ya imagine pouring fuel in a tractor this year? Ouch! Really feel for those guys.

yeah allen, same way in WI. they are worth money, always have. four years ago i bought a IH 4-18" auto reset for 15 bucks, which was the average i was told. i lived in town at the time so while i was trying to find a place to store it till my time came a scrap man stole it when he came to load up his scrap. it was about a month after the sale and the owner at the time said he could take it. i was pi$$ed. my buddy said no problem, you'll find another. haven't found one yet under $1k! you win some and you loose some.

heck no....them srape men don't care, that's the reason they wait a month or so till after the sale to get their stuff. that way they can have everything else that wasn't hauled off yet too.

Sounds like you did just what the wife and I are doing.

Got my buddy down in Colorado with a whole laundry list of toys to watch for so that when he catches someone off guard at an auction, he can grab it. This way, we pick up stuff at our liesure and not with a "Must Have" attitude.

I pay him to haul up here and we are both tickled like a feather. :>)

Then hopefully, when the right piece of dirt does finally decide to show it's silly face, we'll be ready to boogie.
