In the parts book I can not find the part number for this houing. It is oblong. What I am trying to look up is the length and correct style of bolts and nuts that hold it together. Thanks.

I ordered them from the Case man for about 8 dollars each. They look like regular machine screws but they are not threaded all of the way up and the non head side of the bolt is a pointed flat shape. I ordered them and now I am trying to duplicate them at the bolt store. Will take some sawing and grinding. I can hunt up the part number if you still need it. I think I have it somewhere. It is in the parts book.

I have mine apart right now....the bolts are nothing special....round head with a straight screwdriver slot --- hex nut ,that goes on the back.

Charles - Curiously only an IHC part # (51 063 DA) is called out for those screws in my parts catalog.

I don't know if they are "correct" but both my SH and SM have (2) round head, slotted 8-32 machine screws, lockwashers and 8-32 hex nuts here. Don't know the length but the screws protrude only a couple threads past the nuts when tightened down. Shouldn't be hard to figure out the length screw req'd...

I think originally those machine screws threaded directly into the rear without any nuts, but most I have seen, mine included, have the nuts.

Rusty - The "super" series parts catalogs call out 8-32 nuts 'n lockwasher to go with the long screws. However earlier production tractors could have had threaded holes in the back of the enclosure.
