Rocks are all we got up here in NH. That's where the stone walls come from. You trip over them. They make farming and construction a bear, unlike when I lived in the midwest and everything was loose soil. I was hauling some rocks out of a field about 2 hours ago when two large whitetails came out of the woods and were jumping and scampering around the opposite edge of the field, totally unconcerned about me puttering around on a 240. I watched them for about 20 minutes, till it was time to haul rocks back toward the house. (Building another stone wall...for the next generation.)

A kid a mile down the road from me has a couple of flat racks full of rocks setting by the road and he sells all he can get his hands on. A volleyball sized rock goes for $10 and the price goes up from there. He gets up to $100+ for some of them. A good sized boulder might bring $200. Each flat rack has a different sized rock on it and it is help your self. Prices are listed on each rack and there is a lock box for the cash. He also offers loading and delivery. This time of year the rocks fly off the racks pretty fast with everyone wanting to do landscaping.

Funny thing. Guy at work wanted rocks for his garden. I offered him all of the rocks he could pick up free. Well, he hasn't shown up yet. Maybe I'm not a good salesman. I should have priced them at $10.00 each and let him talk the price down.

I haven't figured out how to profit from rocks. Them there city slickers pay big money to have decorative rocks hauled in. There must be some way to profit from rocks.

Gene, in rocky Missouri Ozarks.

Sounds like you may have a couple of "love" rocks on your hands. Just another F*#*#*# rock. If a person could find an economical way to get them to the big city you could probably make some selling them to the city folks for landscaping.
