This is what my parts manual is calling it, Is there a trick to getting this thing off? I need to replace the seal and gasket on the front bearing retainer plate and I am having an awfully hard time removing this nut. I'm going to make a socket for it at work tommorow and hopefully drive it off with the impact wrench but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas.

Put the transmission in 1st or reverse, lock the brakes & use a bar or pipewrench to turn the nut CCW (left) to remove. It is stubborn but spins off easily after breaking loose. It will self-tighten when you operate the Lift-All in the future.

I put a 24 inch prybar through the notches in the coupling, put my back against the wheel and pushed on the prybar with both feet. Then I smacked the prybar with a 3 pound hammer. The third lick, it came loose. ken

Well my half inch drive impact is no match for it. Looks like I'm going to have to go the bar and pipe route hopefully it'll break free. Thanks for the replies guys.

I hooked a pipe wrench to it and then lifted the wrench handle with a hi Lift jack. Popped it right loose.
