I have a 1942 M serial # 56106.Somtime before I bought it,it was changed over to a 12 volt with a dist.and coil. a Ford regulator and alternator. It was running when I got it,but I stripped it all down to restore it.Problem is,the wiring was such a cobbled up,tapped up mess, that I tore it all out.Now I don't know what wires (new wires) goes where. I should have left the rats nest wiring on and replaced one wire at a time. at least it ran. HELP !! Ed

It sounds like you desperately need a new wiring harness too. Taping up an old cut-up and fragile harness will only lead to a fire. Try this to see what you need:
