Finished planting corn on April 9th. This is the earliest I remember for around here. I hope I don't have to replant. Corn usually does better on my light soil if I get it pollinated before it gets too hot and dry. We'll see if I did the right thing. Please excuse the green tractor. I worked the ground with Farmalls. The green tractor just came in to plant and sort of stole the show.

In this next photo you can see my hired-help riding in the cab with me. I really don't get much work out of her, and she has to take a nap right in the middle of a busy day. She did pick some flowers out of the road ditch for me though; a man needs that sort of thing once in a while so he remembers what's important in life. Her mother says this little girl has me wrapped around her little finger.

Mom is probably right.

Thanks for the help with the photos and sorry for the off topic. I don't have many people around here to share my farming adventures with.
Paul

Paul,

I know I'm just a wanna-be farmer, but looking at those pics while sitting at my desk sure put a smile on my face.
