my brother run our farmall 560 dry and I can"t get it going. It"s sat outside all winter and I haven"t had any luck getting it going.
I get fuel out of the first filter petcock, but not out of the second (but it will flow if I loosen the whole cap). I"ve cranked and cranked with all the fuel lines loosened until I"ve gottne fuel out of each one. (doesn"t seem to be much pressure though, as I"m not getting much diesel out) I"m stumped, the 6 volt batteries are weak, so I am going to try replacing those and trying to get more flow out of the lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I badly need to get this tractor running and back in working order.

Thanks,

jay

You may be on the right track with replacing that battery. Deisel ignites by heat from compression (as well as glow plugs, if you have them and they are in good working order. A slow turning engine will not fire!

Nightshifter Make sure you have plenty of fuel in the tank they will bleed better with a full tank.
