does anyone know how or what the problem is if gas is leaking into the oil pan of a 300. thanks any info. is greatly apreciated

since the carb sits below the head on the outside of the block you must have some damn good compression...

I would say___

weak spark plugs
coil
or its time for some rings...

Oil dillution by gasoline is mainly a case of cranking the engine for long periods without combustion (not starting).Also,could be excessive use of the choke,overflowing carburetor,plugged air filter,or bad piston ring seal.

RW1227 You have a leak in the carburator. The float is stuck down not closing the needle valve or the needle just does not hold.

Aces is right,also check your air filter it is full of gas too.
