The grill on my '40 H came back from the sandblaster minus one fastener. Don't know what they called it but it's the type that twist locks...no threads. The IH dealer says they are discontinued - can't get tired of hearing that.
Anyone know where a guy could pick one up?

Wow, I wish I had found this place years ago.
Tractor people are fantastic, yeah, even the ones that aren't farmers:) Nebraska Cowman, let me know if you find one you can part with. It's the very last piece of a long difficult puzzle.

Try an autobody or performance shop. They are called D-Zus fasteners. I don't think the specs have changed.

If your sandblaster guy recycles his sand, he should find your original eventually. It's too big to pass through his screen.

Wardner, I know the D-ZUS company is still in business, but when I was looking for those fasteners for my 1940 H, I could not find anything that was even close from the D-ZUS company.
