Ok got those new points and condersor in,i think it need it but does not solve my problem yet.It well starte and run a little bit yet,think the gas line is pluged when it comes out of the tank there is a elbow there and it pluges there i haved this happen before so i have to go drain out the fuel tank and take that off and see how much gunk is in there,i have not run it all winter.well off i go later bruce

You may have to remove that gas tank and have it steam cleaned to remove all that crud. Some is sure to get in the carburetor if you don't. There
are some places around where you can have that tank relined if it is very rusty. Glad to hear you have it running. New points and a condenser make big difference. Probably a good idea to install new points and plugs every year. Hal

Does it have a sediment bowl right under the tank? Still, as you mentioned, if there's enough gunk in there things will plug regardless.
One word of experience: don't use compressed air to try to clear out a plugged fuel line. I collapsed my carburetor float doing that once. Took a while to figure out why it was flooding like crazy when it was always fine before. Oh well, live and don't learn, I always say!
