I asked for advice the other day on the non-working PTO on my buddies new 300. We pulled the plate off the belly and found that the seasonal disconnect linkage had been removed and the shifter sleeve had been pinned to the input shaft - but the pin was gone. The local dealer set him up with a new pin and it works fine now. The mechanic at the dealer confided to him that the seasonal disconnect was a "bad idea" and more were broken and had been permanently pinned than still worked. I don't know about all that, but I do know that you guys pointed us in the right direction about where to look. Thanks much for the help!

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering why my 400 seasonal disconnect didn't seem to do anything. Great information here on the forum.

I for one (and I’m sure there are others) appreciate your post back telling us you found the problem and what it was. I get curious as to what a problem might have been, and can learn from knowing what the solution actually was.

Thanks for the update!
