Hi Guys I have run across a family 300 with the heavy duty wide front end I beleve made by IH.Pretty tight.Good sheet metal ,rusty, but good with all the chrome emblems. It was rebuilt about 20 years ago by a dealer.I got it about 15 years ago with a stuck engine unhooked the rod and gave her a whack with wood and then honed the cylender a little. and just unstuck the valves. I rebuilt the TA with new ramp and rollers after that it worked well it haS A 2 PT HITCH, 95% NEW RUBBER
on rear loaded. Ok now for the bad.The live hyd pump is leaking into the motor, there is a leak somewhere now under the TA that oil comes out like a vent hole or something alot of oil. It needs a ring gear, and someof the hyd hoses are shot that go from the res along the seat.Other wise she starts and purrs pretty good, Factory 12 Volt, What do you think its a family member that is in need of money. and I beleve the tires are like 8 ply good name brand. Priceless- I got so much into mine- rebuilt front to rear- and I have a few darn leaks too- new TA, seals, input shaft, front spindles, bearings, center pivot casting, rebuilt motor, rebuilt head...I had this thing tore down to the castings...but it was worth it...

I would say your tractor is worth at least $2500.

Ok so it need a littel fixen , ya need a new seal on the T/A on the ft. side of it ya need a new hdy. pump and some hoses and a littel labor . So fix it ya can't replace it for what you'll have in it. I have to replace the same seal in a freinds 400 that he screwed up last year when he put his new T/A in that seal is real easy to mess up you are suppose to use a special tool when installen the T/A so this does not happen as for what i use is .0015 shim stock wrapped around and made into sorta a cone to help the seal to slip on . As far as replacing the seal on the Hdy pump you may get lucky and a new may hold but more then likely the input shaft on the pump is wore at the seal area or the pump bushing is wore bad enough that the shaft is moving tomuch and allowen to much bypassen.

Fair auction value in my area (KS) is $1250 to $1750. Family value (depending one the family member) $1 to $5000.

Blood is thicker than water... I wish I could have held on to some of my family. I am very fond of the ones that I have gotten the honor to keep. The highest costs on the old girls is still a pittance when you start shopping for a youngster. True worth of family generaly isn't just measured by a decimal point.

if she is family, you dont want to pull the plug yet. everybody will do anything to keep a family member safe and alive. ----- put her in the shed and keep her safe. she will keep breathing as long as you pay attention to her once in a while..they are strong willed and will live again..(when the money is available)). just dont give up the fight yet.....
