I need to know how to get the power steering pump to start pumping after replacing it and the mcv valve on an 806.

On the right side of the MCV valve the bottom plug (takes a 5/8 wrench or socket), remove this plug, keep clear of this port, and start up the tractor for a few seconds to get the air purged out. Put the plug back in and the hyd pressure will come back. This does make a bit of a mess but it works every time and you don't loose much more than a 1/2 gallon maybe.

Did you precharge the pump with oil?Book tells to cycle power steering by turning the wheel lock to lock several times to bleed the air out of the system. If that doesn't work get a trouble shooting guide and do some pressure checks.

To get the MCV to prime turn the steering wheel to the left and about 2000 rpm and if that don't do ity then pull the dip stick for the trans out and stick a blowgun in the hole with a rag around it and pressurize it with the engine running at abot a 1000 rpm. but becareful when you go to pull the blow gun out if ya get to much air in there it will look like old fatiful and it will rain Hy tran for two weeks in the shop. BUT THE ROOF WON"T RUST BEEN there done that.
