I am looking at A single axle trailer (3500 lb) and it is 6x12. Should this be good to haul my Super A or 140 locally?
Thanks

what are you pulling this with? any weight needs to go on a tandem, especially with a light tow vehicle. One that's a little longer helps too, I don't think I'd get anything shorter than 12 or 14 feet. I once saw a 1500 chevy nearly lose it (on dry pavement) pulling a trailer about 4 feet square, might have weighed 150 pounds, couldn't park a 4-wheeler on this empty trailer. Tail wagging the dog deal.

If you live within driving distance to Sikeston MO go there I bought a tamden 61/2 x 12 for 635.00 well worth the drive to save on a trailer I drove 300 miles 1 way to save 600.000 from local dealer.

Get a tandem axle with two 3500 lb axles. Will pull very smoothly, with the load properly balanced you won't even know it's back there. A two wheel trailer, even if it isn't overloaded will be pretty bouncy.

No it would not be big enough to do so safely. You need a double ax trailor.

I think it would be marginal at best. Depending on variables like fluid in tires & wheel weights, a Super A or 140 might weigh 2800 to 3000 or maybe more depending on how it is set up. The trailer weight needs to be included in that 3500 lb gross too.

A single axle trailer makes weight distribution far more critical than on a dual axle.

I haul my B on a 4000 lb gross dual axle trailer. The B only weighs 2140 and that trailer is almost maxed out with it.

I once hauled mine about 5 miles to my fathers place on his single axle trailer. Never done it since. Frame sat flat on axle. Tires ballooned out and rubbed. Hard to stop, trailer was pushing hard at stops. Invested in a good tandem with electric brakes. But thats just my two cents.
