IH 444 non-deisel - NEED HELP

Working on my fathers IH 444 GAS.

Been running underpowered since he bought it, I finally have the time to look at it.

The first cylinder (I"m, assuming that"s #1 cylinder) will not fire.

Not getting juice from the cap from #1.

New plus, wires, cap & rotor...

Tried differet wires from cylinders that fire, just not getting anything.

Does this thing have points? Is there a cam lobe that can be busted off for #1 or something?

I have a shop manual, but it does not have squat on the distributor, kind of a sucky manual if you ask me... Shows firing order, but does not even give me numbers of the cylinders...

I assume it"s 1-2-3-4 starting from front of engine?

Check the points and make sure you don't have a worn distributer shaft. #1 is always next to the radiator. Firing order should be in raised letters on the right side of the block, order is 1342.

Replaced the bronze bushing in the distributor, problem solved...
