I am going to do some specialty grains this year, buckwheat, flax, hulless oats and a bunch of differnt beans. I have two 93 combines, one with a straight-cut head and the other I am putting a windrow pick-up header on. I have a line on a International 175 swather or "windrower", powered by a V-four aircooled Wisconsin engine. Not a lot of grains are swathed around here and subsequently there is not many swathers, and they usually bring nothing at a sale. I found one near to dead, rotton canvas and belts etc. but mechanically sound, not used very much. Are they any good? Or should I hang on and look for something different with a water cooled engine?

I cut thousands of acres of wheat and barley with one. (19.5 foot, with the big Wisconsin engine).

They lay a wonderfull swath. The sickle drive, however, is not the best for cutting tough or wet crops, such as flax and hay.
