What is the proper way to remove a transmission counter shaft in a Farmall M? I removed the front drive nut. The deck is off and the top shaft has been removed.

Also found that putting the rear br.on is a lot easier using a length of pipe, that will go over counter shaft and tapping bg. on through the PTO rear housing hole. Where in Wis do you live?

Its been a few days, but as I remember the front bearing has to be removed, there is a snap ring holding the rear bearing on the shaft, this bearing also has to be removed and then the shaft can be wiggled out of the case. That rear snap ring is a bugger with the brake shaft still in.
