Alignment is determined by the drilling of the rear engine support on the M, that you bolt the 345 to. We did a 345 in a 560 prior to my M. I transfered the 345 engine to the 560m by making a plastic template out of 1/8in clear plastic , All measurements must come from the center of the crankshaft. The same template I made for the 560 worked perfect on the M, I measured up a 450 being I have another 345 and my drill template is the same for it also. I loaned my template to a guy out of state, hope I get it back

Now i get what you mean, sound like it would be a breeze with your template.I've heard of some guys putting in 460 fords,etc-but like you I want to keep eveything red.I may have mentioned that I'm not pulling mine, but I do want to do some belt work and riding around some-so alignment is probably more of a concern than for a 300 footer. Do you think the M radiator will be ok?? if not have you heard of any remedys? did you do your change-overs to pull with? thanks
