How many Regulars had electric start?

Hi seen a regular with electric start and am curious if this was something someone put together from F 20 parts if they actually built some? Also the front end looks like it was switched to a F 20 front end because the steering box is closed in, doesn't have gears in the open. No holes in the hood, exhaust is down below like Regulars were. Thanks guys trying to figure it out.

Did any of the last regulars come from the factory with the enclosed steering gear?

SproutW,The only Regulars that had enclosed steering boxes factory installed were the ones that had the wide-front end option. The parts book I have shows these had the duck-bill steering that was later installed on early F-20 and F-30's.

Thanks, I thought I had heard sometime in the past that a few regulars had the enclosed steering gear.

Many farmers replaced the "Thumb Breaker" steering gears on a Regular with the enclosed worm-gear steering mechanism like a F-20.

There were no Regulars built with factory electric start. Any that you will see are aftermarket. I have one that has a Montgomery Wards unit on it. I suppose that one could put on the aftermarket F-20 electric starter. There were no factory electric start F-20s either. Hope this answers your question!
