When were the sparkplugs changed? Remove a plug
and ground it against the engine block with the
sparkplug wire connected. Then crank over the
engine with ignition switch on to see if that plug is firing. If it is firing, check the firing order 1-3-4-2, look at the rotor to see which way the rotor turns, probably CW.

If you have fire through the plug and still won't start remove No1 plug near the radiator and have someone crank over the engine while you hold your thumb over the hole until you feel compression. Then rotate engine until timing marks are in alignment. Do this slowly, then look at your rotor it should be pointing to NO1 plug wire in the cap. Make sure you feel compression against your thumb since you need the engine on that stroke because distributors or mags are installed with engine on this stroke. Hal

is the distributor turned 180 degrees?????

if you have good hot spark at all cylinders---too much or to little fuel (choke)or bad compression.

if it is 12 volt the resistor needs replaced.
if is 6 volt check the firing order.
