Wondering if there will be any problems in removing the frame rails in order to paint the back side.It will also make it easier to paint the engine. Will tractor twist or fall apart?
Thanks.

I did it on my "H" one side at a time.I didn't support it with anything, but that sounds like a good idea.I did have to use a punch to get it lined up to get it back together. You'll be suprised how full of grease and grime those rails will be,even after you have power washed it. Good Luck,John.

Jack the front of the tractor up just enough to take some pressure off the front wheels. Now block up under the flywheel housing so the front end cannot go back down and remove the jack. Also block in front and back of rear wheels so it cannot roll. Take the rails off one at a time. This worked fine for me.

I have never actually tried it, but I think you need to support the tractor securely from the bottom, and then remove only one frame rail at a time, replacing it before you remove the second on. Might be better if you blocked the tractor up and then removed the front bolster first, and then the frame rails. The front of the engine is supported in the frame rails, you just can't remove the rails without the tractor falling in a heap. Be careful.
