Still having trouble getting RPM up to load specs when load is applied. I am still working the previous suggestions. Here is the grasping at straws part. My carb is a model/part # 50981DC. The parts list and repair instructions show a removable venturi for this carb. Mine does not have a removable venturi. The throat is a straight through (pipe). Same size all the way.

Am I missing something here? Could that contribute to my problem? Thank you

I agree with Jeff P. I the throat is indeed just a straight cylinder, your venturi is missing. If the throat has any curves at all, it may be just that the venturi is tough to remove.

Your venturi is missing if it is straight through.

the venturi is removeable. The pot metal venturi can be removed with patience, just be careful, as it is easily distorted when a hammer or alot of pressure is used to remove it. As to your carburetor problem, you probably have a restriction in one of the jets, so you should completely disassemble the carburetor and clean each passage with a piece of small gauge wire
