The seat on my old rusty 14 was really bad. I looked through the after-market catalogs for an inexpensive replacement. It finally dawned on me to check on having my old one recovered. I repainted the metal and had a local shop do the cushions. It's not OEM, but I had her stitch some white in the center too. I ended up with a seat of good quality for half of the money. Another nice thing is, John Hobby came all the way from Mass. to go with me to pick it up. The only problem is,,,the seat now makes my old rusty tractor look like heck.

I will shamefully admit that this second photo is a blatant attempt to show off my old H (like you all have never seen one). But I just love this old tractor. I received a lot of help here restoring it, and I've met a lot of nice people.

Paul, NICE. That look great, it looked good in the shop but better on the 14. I got all my tin off, sanding down and will start painting. Had a few issues that Allen and Sloroll help with and I should be looking good soon. I am not looking forward to taking those rears off the hubs to paint, what else can a guy do ?

I like the angle of the shot. At least the red is in front of the green, but that is nice green I will admit. I need to take a fleat shot when I get it all done.

The wetaher is coming on, getting into mid 40's and I like that. Selling my calves next week so a few more dollar in the pocket will help with the 1066 project. Now I just need the momas to drop a few calves and all will be good.

Take care, talk to you soon. By the way, did you hear about the Suffolk Country Dep who got shot and killed yesterday in Boston. Off duty at a bar and must of got tangled with the wrong group. Bad new.

Remember, aim for center mass. See ya. John

Mike,
I have been discovered, yes, I have green too. My favorites are still letter series Farmalls.

I bought that "new" (fifteen years old) tractor last year for the cab. The older I get the harder the hay chaff and dust is on me. It's a little nicer than I deserve on my small farm, but when my wife consented to the purchase (bless her forgiving heart), I didn't waste any time signing the papers. ;)

Paul,

Any way we can talk you into snappin' a few of the old 14 also?

Posting pictures of red tractors is just plain darned good behavior, to my way of thinkin' and the ones that are in their working clothes are the prettiest of all. :>)

Seat is a killer, by the way; you do nice work! And, talk about a sweet old H! Wow!

Allan

Paul, that is one good looking H. I just bought a 1948 H that I really don't need, but it is the same age as me and I think I will end up keeping it too. Fella can never have too many tractors ya know. Thanks for the pictures, Harley
