I got a post card today from the guys that put on a engine and tractor show near my home. After 32 years, they're calling it quits. The town park we've always had the show at has "remodeled" and it's no longer available to us. I have pictures of myself at the age of 4 as a spectator at this show and was the first show I ever displayed my hit-n-miss engines at. I have been helping at this show for over 15 years. They thought of relocating, but the insurance, liability, and unpredictable weather in early May(when the show has always been) convinced the 2 brothers to throw in the towel. Sorry so long of a post, I just wanted to pay my respects to the show and the guys that got me started in a hobby that kept a teenager off the streets some 15 years ago.

My town had hot rod night every tues eve from april to sept. All litter[not much at all]was cleaned up each week.Nobody did burnouts or excessive noise. Two years ago their lawyers told them it was a bad idea. Now nobody goes to that little group of stores anymore and they wonder why revenues fell on Tuesdays.Good thing is its in the next town also over state line now those stores show a revenue increase on Tueday night. Not even a lawsuit just the fear of one moved it.

Location and time are the 2 biggest obstacles I would face right now. A neighbor has got me started into sorghum syrup making and we usually have 20-25 people show up at his place on syrup day and some bring tractors, so maybe that will grow into something.

Sounds to me like you already have the makings of a show and just haven't carried it that last step yet. Develope maple serple days into incorporating something to do with machinery along side of it, and get ready. Any time you put three tractors together, folks are gonna stop to see what the comotion is all about.

We got tired of all the political B.S. involved with organized Motorcycle Rallys down here in the Ozarks and decided to put our own on, and we are expecting 500 to 700 people this year. Good luck and may the syrup be with you. Harley
