Hi guys Working on a 154 c-60 engine.Do I need to put some kind of sealer on the head gasket? Can I put a temp gage in the lower water out let,or some place? It has a oil lite, but would like a gage. Where would put the oil line? Ok one more. How do I drain the hy-trans oil? I would like to put in fresh oil and filter. You guys have a word of info.

Thanks Bill

Head gasket, I didnt
Temp gauge, probaly wouldnt move but Iguess it can be done.
Oil gauge, take out the sending unit for the light and follow gauge instructions from there.
Hytran drain plug is on the bottom of the tranny case,a little hard to see unless you get right up under it,at least for me.I used Hytran in the tranny and got my filter while at the dealer.I think it holds like a half gallon or something like like, maybe more, maybe less.FUll plug is on the side of the tranny, cant see it good either. The way I have to do mine, since my drain plug is stripped,is to take off the back tranny cover and drain it that way.
